TrueMove is a social connection platform. Because we help you find matches based on your preferences (such as your gender and who you are interested in meeting), certain state laws (like Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's SB 370) classify this information as "Consumer Health Data."
We provide this notice to comply with those laws and to be fully transparent about how your data is used.
1. What We Collect
We do not collect your medical records, genetic data, insurance info, or biometric health data.
Under the broad definitions of these laws, the only "Consumer Health Data" we may collect is:
- Sexual Orientation / Connection Preferences: (e.g., "I am interested in men," "I am interested in women," etc.)
2. Why We Collect It
We collect this information for one specific purpose: To connect you with the people you want to meet. We use your preferences solely as a backend filter to suggest relevant profiles.
3. We Do Not Sell This Data
We do not sell your Consumer Health Data. We do not exchange your preferences or personal information with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. We do not show third-party ads in our app.
4. How We Share This Data
- With Other Users: Your Gender is visible on your public profile. However, your Connection Preferences (who you are interested in) are PRIVATE. They are NOT displayed on your profile and are used strictly by our system to figure out mutual compatibility in the background.
- With Service Providers: We use trusted cloud providers to store this data securely. They are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential and cannot use it for their own purposes.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, withdraw consent, or request the deletion of this data.
- To Delete: You can delete your account and all associated data permanently via the "Delete Account" option in the TrueMove app settings.
